Mr Ezekiel Oyeniyi Ajao

Mr Ezekiel Ajao is a C-level Executive with passion for using digital technology to grow digital financial services for sustainable development. With 30 years’ experience in Banking, Driving Innovation and Emerging Technologies, Operations, Electronic Payments and Settlement Systems Management, and Business Development, he is a regular Training Facilitator in these areas. He worked at Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) for 20 years, rising to position of Deputy Managing Director (2019 – 2021) and was part of the management team which developed Bank Verification Number (BVN). Before NIBSS, he worked at Societe Generale Bank as Head, Information Technology.He holds a BSc in Computer Science and Economics (combined honours), second-class (upper division) from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) (1985), MSc in Computer Science from University of Lagos (1987) and MBA Executive (General Management) from OAU (2004). He has attended numerous training courses in Nigeria and abroad, including Wharton Executive Education, University of Pennsylvania (2016) and Advanced Management Programme (AMP23), Lagos Business School. He is an Honorary Senior Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN); Fellow, Nigeria Computer Society (NCS); Member, Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), Institute of Directors and Ikoyi Club 1938; Associate Member, Society of Professional Consultants (SPC) and a Director, Investment 2002 Limited (an investment club).
