Mr Ganiyu M. Musa

Mr Ganiyu Musa is an accomplished C-suite Executive with vast experience in the financial services industry. A key player in Nigeria’s insurance sector, he led efforts in the conduct of due diligence, valuation and negotiation of a merger arrangement involving two mid-sized Insurance entities. He also played a lead role in the creation and initial supervision of the risk management functions at African Reinsurance Corporation. He is a former Group Managing Director/CEO, Cornerstone Insurance Plc, whose leadership helped to ensure that Cornerstone remains one of the leading insurance companies in Nigeria.He holds a BSc (honours) in Business Administration from University of Lagos (Unilag) and an MSc in Banking and Finance from the same institution. He is a Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Insurance Institute (Nigeria) and Chartered Insurance Institute (London). He is the current Chairman, Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) as well as Chairman, Council of Bureaux, ECOWAS Brown Card Scheme. He sits on the boards of Oak Pensions (PFA) Limited and FHN Limited.
